Located on The Row of Market Street in Hoylake, The Hoylake Pantry is a family run plastic-free refill shop. Owned by Sharon and Managed by Chris, who believe ethical shopping shouldn’t cost the earth, The Hoylake Pantry hosts a bountiful supply of plastic-free alternatives.
After watching Blue Planet and Drowning in Plastic, which both highlight the damage plastic causes to our ecosystems, Sharon made the decision to open The Hoylake Pantry. Her vision was to open a shop that helps rather than hinders the ongoing plastic pandemic.
Shopping at The Hoylake Pantry makes the switch from plastic-full to plastic-free as easy as vegan pie. Just take along your own containers and fill them with any of your household essentials such as, pasta, sugar, washing up liquid, laundry liquid and so much more. You can even switch up your beauty regime to plastic free with bamboo toothbrushes and shampoo bars. There’s also a great selection of sweets and gifts to treat yourself for doing your bit for the planet!
Sharon and Chris’ favourite part of running The Hoylake Pantry is the community their shop has created of customers from all walks of life with the shared goal of reducing their impact on the environment. They also love selling reusable water bottles as each sale has the potential to stop hundreds of sales of single-use plastic water bottles.
If you’re looking at ways to reduce your environmental footprint, pop down to The Hoylake Pantry to see what plastic-free swaps you can make!
